PNEUMATOLOGICAL CONTROVERSY: UNDERSTANDING THE GIFTS AND MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

The subject of the Holy Spirit appears to be controversial, over decades, among many Biblical scholars, causing sharp disagreements among scholars of the Bible and some theologians. It is, nevertheless, crucial to critically examine some of these issues in relation to the work of the Holy Spirit. My attempt, in this publication is to address some aspects of this thorny issue that has plagued the church, in the past and present, dispassionately. While the gifts and the operations of the Holy Spirit are misinterpreted by many church leaders, other Christian denominations have fashioned out doctrines that are associated with their congregations.
