UNRAVELING ECUMENISM: THE ANALOGY OF BEING AND ORTHODOX THEOLOGY The reconstruction of the concept of analogy in the writings of Przywara, Balthasar and Marion, from the perspective of the iconic theology of The Orthodox Church. Why are the recent Latin theologians Przywara, Balthasar and Marion, relevant to the question of analogy of Being and the quest for ecumenical dialogue? All three are of the opinion that there is a need for a reconstruction of the doctrine of analogy. And all three aim at the church fathers and tradition in their reconstructions. Tentatively, we may say that they all seem to agree that the idea of analogy has been in demise since the breakthrough of modern philosophy, and that a reconstruction therefore is a process of going back to the sources of Christian theology. This idea of the reconstruction of analogy as a reaction against modernity, have led some Orthodox to think that analogy of Being is a good way of formulating a common theological ground on which ecumenical dialogue may be arranged. However, in this book I will oppose that view, arguing that the concept of analogy of Being is an invention that is at odds with the Orthodox Tradition. This book is a serbian translation.
