Rather we need an independent group of people, let’s call them the Good People of Gaza Party, intending to do all they can to make all good and fair to all, steering us away from all the devilishly evil forces of hatred and authoritarianism, which we really wish to avoid. So for this reason, let’s take immediate independence, right away, off the table just for a minute, But under the promise, proviso and in-built guarantee that 15 years on, Once Hamas is long gone, Once Israel no longer has to invade and to bomb everything in order to protect itself, and once democratic, pluralistic, freedom-loving and corruption-shattering forces of good have established a strong foundation, on which a very good democracy, perhaps the best democracy the world has ever seen, can then be run and allowed to flourish. So what with this book’s titular year 2025, and how to make it and these 15 pre-independence years, as utopian and good as they can be, in a context where the forces of evil have their eyes, hands and guns absolutely everywhere? Well, this may be completely against what all the world leaders have been saying but why not let the locals decide, not in the usual way where a most evil grouping shoots all other suggested options in the head, No, not like that.
