A library is a curated collection of information sources and similar sources, selected by experts and available for reference or borrowing for a defined community, often conducive to study in a quiet environment. It provides physical or digital access to content and can be physical space or virtual space or both. The library's collection includes books, magazines, newspapers, manuscripts, movies, maps, prints, documents, microforms, CDs, cassettes, video tapes, DVDs, Blu-ray discs, e-books, audiobooks, databases, table games, video games and more. . Libraries have millions of items in large sizes. In many modern languages, the word "library" comes from the ancient Greek Bibliotheca, meaning "Bibliotheca" in Latin. The first libraries contained archives of the earliest forms of clay tablets in the Kiniform script found in Sumer, some dating back to 2000 BC. Private or personal libraries made up of books written in the 5th century began to appear in classical Greece. In the 6th century, very close to the classical period, the great libraries of the Mediterranean world remained in Constantinople and Alexandria. Libraries of Timbakattu were established around this time and attracted scholars from all over the world.
