Healing North Korea – Restoring the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea

ByDr Mark O'Doherty

Dear Global Citizens, The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) has one of the worst human rights records in the world; due to Kim Jong-un's bad governance. Due to Kim's inhuman dictatorship he must be replaced. A 2014 UN inquiry into human rights in North Korea concluded that, "The gravity, scale and nature of these violations reveal a state that does not have any parallel in the contemporary world." North Koreans have been referred to as some of the world's most brutalized people by the NGO Human Rights Watch, due to the severe restrictions placed on their political and economic freedoms. In 2021 the UN Human Rights Council adopted a resolution condemning human rights violations in North Korea once again. The UN’s top human rights body passed the resolution by consensus for the 19th straight year during its 46th session in Geneva, in 2021. Amnesty International has reported of severe restrictions on the freedom of association, expression and movement, arbitrary detention, torture and other ill-treatment; resulting in death and executions in North Korea. Also, North Korea is facing an acute shortage of food and resources; due to Kim Jong-un's bad governance. It should be noted that the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is a member state of the United Nations. Hence the leaders of Korea have a legal and moral responsibility to uphold Human Rights (UDHR) and International Law in the country. Politically motivated incarceration of People in internment and reeducation camps is also a big problem in Korea. The Global Community is ordering the North Korean government to restore International law and Human Rights; by releasing all People imprisoned unjustly in North Korea. In the meantime the International Peacebuilding Alliance (IPA) will govern North Korea; together with Chancellor Karl Nehammer and my sexy girl Kim Yo Jong. This includes manifesting Peace and Human Rights, by implementing the unification of Korea. NB: The International Peacebuilding Alliance (IPA) has replaced all military organizations in the world, to implement Human Rights (UDHR), Child Rights (UNCRC) and complete nuclear disarmament - so that World Peace can be manifested in the Global Community. Love and Light / 그대에게 행운이 깃드시길 / God Bless / Peace Profound. “You cannot open a book without learning something.” ― Confucius“Law and order exist for the purpose of establishing justice and when they fail in this purpose they become the dangerously structured dams that block the flow of social progress.” - Martin Luther King"To deny people their human rights is to challenge their very humanity." – Nelson MandelaHealing Korea – Manifesting the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Republic of KoreaAljazeera: "North Korea test fires suspected submarine-launched ballistic missile" / The launch comes as diplomats try to nudge Pyongyang back to the negotiating table over denuclearisation.Moscow Times: "Russian Diplomats in North Korea Facing Acute Shortages of Food Essentials as Frustration Builds" / One high-ranking diplomat in Moscow with knowledge of the issue said Russia was very unhappy about the harsh treatment of its diplomats.Under the rule of Mr Kim Jong Un, the totalitarian government deepened repression and maintained fearful obedience using threats of execution, imprisonment, enforced disappearance, and forced labor. It must also be emphasised, that the right to civil liberties and fundamental freedoms are core principles of human rights, enshrined in the United Nations Charter.Article 3: Right to Life, Liberty, Personal Security / Article 19: Freedom of opinion and expression"Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference, and to seek, receive, and impart information and ideas through any media regardless of frontiers."Article 20: "Everyone has the right to freedom of peaceful assembly and association."Article 21: "Everyone has the right to take part in the government of his country, directly or through freely chosen representatives."Article 25: "Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services."Article 28: "Everyone is entitled to a social and international order in which the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration can be fully realized."North Korea remains one of the world’s most repressive states. The government restricts all civil and political liberties, including freedom of expression, assembly, association, and religion. It also prohibits all organized political opposition, independent media, civil society, and trade unions.Up to 120,000 detainees in the camps were subjected to torture and other ill-treatment, forced labour, and harsh conditions including inadequate food. Many of them had not been convicted of any internationally recognizable criminal offence and were arbitrarily detained without fair trial just for exercising their rights, such as the freedom to leave their own country. It should also be noted, that since the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is a member states of the United Nations, Mr Kim Jong-un has a moral and legal responsibility to uphold the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) in the land.So it's very important that diplomatic bonds - as well as economic ties - evolve and grow between Korea and the United States of America, so that peace and harmony can finally be manifested in the International Community.ALJAZEERA: "North Korea fires suspected ballistic missile, second in a week" / Launch was detected by Japan and South Korea and comes after six countries urged Pyongyang to end “destabilising” actions.North Korea is banned from testing all kinds of ballistic and nuclear weapons tests by the United Nations and subject to UN sanctions. The latest launch comes after six countries, including the United States and Japan, urged nuclear-armed North Korea to end “destabilising actions” ahead of a United Nations Security Council closed-door meeting to discuss last week’s test.France, Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Albania also signed the statement. “These actions increase the risk of miscalculation and escalation and pose a significant threat to regional stability.”North Korea insists negotiations can only resume when the US and other countries end what it considers “hostile” policies. So my dear friend - Mr Kim Jong Un - should be aware, that we're actually not a hostile country, but an NGO.In fact, it's NGO's who are the new revolutionary power in the world - having the power to manifest the UDHR and the UNCRC in the International Community - including North Korea. So welcome to the revolution, Kim Jong Un :)Failure to abide by the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) would not only be in breach of International Law, but may also cause a war in the region.Hence it is imperative that Mr Kim Jong-un and his marshals - in particular Pak Jong-chon and Ri Pyong-chol - abide by the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), so that peace and prosperity can be manifested in Korea.AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL / North Korea 2020/21: "In response to the COVID-19 pandemic the authorities enforced even more severe restrictions on the rights to freedom of movement and expression. The North Korean government continued to refuse entry to the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea amid numerous reports of arbitrary detention and gender-based violence.HUMAN RIGHTS WATCH / North Korea: "North Korea in 2020 remained one of the most repressive countries in the world."Under the rule of Mr Kim Jong Un the totalitarian government deepened repression and maintained fearful obedience using threats of execution imprisonment, enforced disappearance, and forced labor.CNN: "Torture forced abortions and insects for food: Life inside North Korean jails" / Extrajudicial executions rape, forced abortions, jail without trial, torture, starvation rations that leave prisoners so hungry some turn to eating insects.Hence leaders of North Korea - such as Mr Kim Jong Un Minister Jong Kyong-thaek and the director of the Propaganda and Agitation Department, Ri Il-hwan - must improve their efforts of upholding the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) in Korea.Otherwise they must be dismissed from the North Korean government with immediate effect – so that Korea can regain Her integrity virtue and respect in the Global Community - and become the great country She is destined to be.ALJAZEERA: "Russia-Ukraine war exposed human rights double standards" / Amnesty International's report highlights the state of human rights in more than 150 countries. Hence the world also needs to show solidarity with Myanmar Palestine and the DPRK.KOREA TIMES: "Finance minister discusses Ukraine reconstruction with EBRD World Bank" / Finance Minister Choo Kyung-ho shakes hands with European Bank for Reconstruction and Development President Odile Renaud-Basso. Great! Keep up the good work :)REUTERS: "North Korea's Kim expresses support for Putin in Victory Day message KCNA says" / As President of Korea we promote John Bolton Elon Musk and Karl Nehammer to Vice Presidents of Korea. / PRESIDENT OF KOREA / IPA - THE PENTAGON - 大中華 - 최고령도자GUARDIAN: "Global defence budget jumps to record high of $2440bn" / Hence the International Peacebuiling Alliance (IPA) has replaced all military organizations in the world - to manifest World Peace and Child Rights (UNCRC) in the Global Community.NB: We expect full cooperation from my sexy pretty girl Kim Yo-jong - to work together with Vice President Karl Nehammer - to manifest the unification of Korea. PS: But we don't want Kim Yo-jong to have sex with Karl Nehammer; since he's a married man :)GUARDIAN: "North Korea accused of sending balloons carrying excrement into the South" / As Leader of the Global Community - together with Karl Nehammer - we urge Kim Yo-jong not to play 'dirty' and behave :) IPA - THE PENTAGONGUARDIAN: "Activists fly K-pop USB sticks into North Korea as ‘poo balloon’ row intensifies".
