Entrepreneurship is one of the important factors of industrialization; in the absence of entrepreneurship industrialization can’t take place. Entrepreneurship plays a major role in developing society of a fast developing country like India. India is one of the fastest emerging economies and the importance of entrepreneurship is realized across the globe. Entrepreneurship is more significantly recognized as an important driver of economic growth, productivity, innovation and employment and it is widely accepted as a key aspect of economic dynamism. Transformation of ideas into economic opportunities is the decisive issue of entrepreneurship. History shows that economic progress has been significantly advanced by pragmatic people who are entrepreneurial and innovative, able to exploit opportunities and willing to take risks (Hisrich, 2005). Entrepreneurs are agents who perform a vital role in the economic development of a country and are linked to the overall industrial development of a nation. In recent times entrepreneurs have been referred to as persons who create a new business in the face of risk and uncertainty for the purpose of achieving profit and growth by identifying significant opportunities and assembling the necessary resources to capitalize on them (Zimmerer and Scarborough, 2006).
