Who knows what happens after death? Who is a first-hand witness to the affairs after death that can report to us in an auditable manner? True, scientists are trying to conduct research in this area where repeatable experiments are not an option. Religion comes in handy but the religions of Christianity, Islam and Judaism which happen to be the most dominant, powerful, vocal and affluent in the world, conveniently aver that there is just one life and after this life, human beings would await the day of the judgement after which they live eternally either in hell or in heaven. What is eternity is undefined; when is the day of the judgement is not defined; and the status of the animals after death is unclear, that is, would they continue to live as animals in heaven? Would the gender remain the same in heaven or would all the residents of the heaven would be gender-neutral? Where is that heaven that can accommodate billions of lives lost in these 2,000 or more years? What would the residents of heaven would be doing - eating, drinking, making merry and praying to God Almighty always? Another aspect that was conveniently ignored was that what will happen to the souls attached to the bodies interred in the earth until the judgement day arrives? We know surely that for the last 2,000 years at least, there was no day of judgement. Right now, the human population of earth is about 7 billion. Taking an average of 1 human-second to judge each case, the last human being in the queue waiting to be judged needs to wait a whopping 7 billion human-seconds, at a minimum, for his/her turn! That is, 221 human-years! Where would that individual be for all those years until the day of judgement and awaiting the judgement? These theories are not tenable. Buddhism and Hinduism emphasize a cycle of birth-death-rebirth until all debts are collected and repaid. Hinduism detailed this theory in multiple books and the most important one among those books is Garuda Puraana which is a conversation between Lord Vishnu, the sustenance energy for the universe and Garuda his transportation means. That conversation is focused on the matters of death to birth and covers all those aspects in a succinct manner.
