Effect of Drip Irrigation on Yield, Water Use Efficiency of Baby Corn (Zea Mays L.) Under Raichur Agro-Climatic Conditions

Agriculture is strength of the Indian economy and the villages are the life line of growth of India. Agriculture is a very crucial sector for the sustainable growth of the Indian economy. About 70 per cent of the rural households and 8 per cent of urban households are still entirely dependent on agriculture for employment. Since some three-quarters of the population live in rural areas, majority of the households depend on this sector. There is an urgent need to increase the productivity in agriculture, so as to meet the ever increasing demand for food due to the population growth in our country.
