Inquiry Training and Concept Attainment Model for Science Teaching

Teaching models are just instructional designs. They describe the process of specifying and producing particular environmental situations which cause the student to interact in such a way that specific change occurs in behaviour. The teaching model is very useful for teachers for planning and organizing teaching activities. The teacher can make its use in planning curriculum, student teacher interaction and to develop specific teaching aids. Though the place of teaching of science is at the top of hierarchy of different subjects, the researches in this area have been relatively scanty. The teaching of science in schools generally conforms to the traditional methods and continues to be dominated by teacher, making it as dull and uninspiring as ever before.
