DYE - SURFACTANT AND HEAVY METAL IONS INTERACTIONS: A Spectrophotometric Study.

The advent of several separation procedures, viz. solvent extraction. ion exchange, chromatography etc. has offered wide prospects in separating mixtures of metals into individual constituents before attempting their spectrophotometric determinations. It is, therefore, the sensitivity which primarily decides the usefulness and importance of the reagents developed for the spectrophotometric determination of metal ions.
