MARY MAGDALENE STUDIES ASSOCIATION JOURNAL SPRING TERM 2021
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
The Mary Magdalene Studies Association Journal is the flagship publication of the MMSA, set up in 2017, which is the only academic body in the world devoted to research, study, teaching and spiritual practice into the life and times of Mary Magdalene. Our mission statement is to try to find out as much as we can about her life and works, using all available sources. Our working hypothesis is that she was a very close disciple, friend and possibly consort to Jesus Christ, and therefore, wherever Mary is located, Jesus cannot be too far away either. So by uncovering what we can about her nature and legacy, we believe it it will also shed new light on the life, work and mission of Jesus Christ as well. Members of the MMSA come from diverse scholarly and spiritual backgrounds: Episcopalian, Roman Catholic, Gnostic, sceptical, pagan, Jungian, Qabalist, Druid, alchemists, Rosicrucian, New Age, Sufi, Goddess worshippers, Protestants, etc. All we ask is that high standards of scholarship are maintained throughout. Each issue of the journal is an eclectic presentation of research into Mary's life and work, and we suspend judgment on who will have "the last word": our job is to facilitate the conversation & stimulate the research.
