What Land Do You Live In?

Recently, we went through a season of living in the land of famine. We were both unemployed and our ministry was nearly inactive. Eventually our savings were used up and because of past earnings we initially couldn’t qualify for government help (is that good or bad?). Churches weren’t inviting us to minister or teach. Interestingly, God directed us not to ask for help, but to trust in Him. We did that. Creditors threatened us everyday, the power company turned off our gas and electricity, the telephone company disconnected us, and the mortgage company began foreclosure on our home. Is that famine enough for you? Does anyone relate to this? We thought of selling our house, but knew God had said to keep it. We thought of just packing up and leaving (going to our Egypt), but God said stay put. It was rough and getting rougher everyday. We did not enjoy living in the land of famine. Do you?
