Written in verse, this one act Dr. Seuss Silverstein like-play depicts a young woman's search for the perfect seasonal gift for some very dear friends. It tells the story of her attempt to construct a Chocolate Chip Cookie House from "scratch". Unfortunately, the House falls apart because the batter is not as sturdy as traditional, hardened gingerbread, used in most Cookie Houses. The main character, Ellen, races to find an alternate gift for her friends, and meets many well meaning but clueless (as well as) misunderstood others along the road of self discovery in an unusual supermarket. She learns that she must find the perfect gift on her own. Will she? What lessons will be learned, and by whom? Based on a true story! Witty, wiley, wonderous wordplay.
