Paul Carlisle has many advantages and contacts. He wants to be an author, but his writing skills are limited. His prose is trite, his verse is hackneyed, nothing sparkles, catches the reader’s attention. He has gone to the finest colleges, taken the best courses, had excellent teachers to guide him, but nothing is happening, and Paul is used to getting whatever he wants, without trying too hard, or waiting too long.
Miles Letterman is gifted. His pen sails across endless pages of paper, effortlessly and instantly. He is a scholarship student who works at menial jobs to keep himself in college and have enough money for the bare necessities.
Miles and Paul will never meet, but they will play a big part in each other’s lives. Paul buys Miles, his writing ability which is for sale. Miles is a ghost writer.
