The New Stories of Tarzan

A young white man alone in the primitive jungle, surrounded by great anthropoid apes, struggling to keep up with them, fighting to prove his manhood, learning to understand the savage beasts in order to learn the deadly are of survival. When the Tarzan series appeared in paperback form from Ballantine Books in the 1960’s, Edgar Rice Burroughs Inc. decided to “tone” down ethnic content. So, most of the books in the series were censored.
