The Huge Hunter or, The Steam Man of the Prairies

Edward S. Ellis' 1869 novel has been called the first 'edisonade' - that is, a tale of an entrepreneurial young US inventor, whose marvelous steam man gets him into, and out of, adversity. Fighting Indians. Hunting for gold. (This isn't your grandfather's steampunk. It's your great-grandfather's steampunk.) This book is a BETA version.
