What If....?

Hugo Chavez, the Venezuelan President for life, looked about the packed room and then into the bright lights of the TV cameras. They were focused on him alone! For him the other dignitaries and the Russian delegation were just beside him for show. Today he was going to strike a blow at the hated Yankees! He was going to show them who held the power. He alone was going to bring them to their knees. The Russians had presented him with a clear path. Their plan to gain control of the world oil market needed Venezuela’s oil production and Hugo had agreed to give it to them but at a price. The price was regional military power and the Russians had agreed to help him get it. Things were about to change and not in America’s favor. He started his speech and the world changed forever!
