A short novel. Packs are vicious, ruthless war-bands that plague the Dark Age lands from one end of the continent to the other. Like the Tribals, Packs are the end result of surviving humans since the arrival of the Dark Age, but instead of living in peaceful existence, they rape, steal and butcher their way forwards in order to live. Master Elric Lordante has had unfortunate business with them in the past.
