L.A. Water Trails: Water Tales
ByElizabeth MarleyEmiliano Espasandin
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
A visual journey through the diverse waterscapes of the southwest,
this book shows another side of urban life and its influence on our natural water systems. Likewise, we have a lot to learn from nature.
Each chapter of stunning, and sometimes alarming, photographs is preceded by brief tales and facts about the landscape.
This trail was traveled by a group of students from SCIARC in Los Angeles to Salton Sea, Glamis Dunes, Parker Dam, Hoover Dam, all the way to Death Valley and then Owens Valley. Bringing the project back full-circle from communities natural settings ruined by human intervention, to the pristine desert, and back to the density city of Los Angeles, one can witness the affect we have on the land we touch.
