Traveler: Minisaga for Badin and the Secret of the Saami

Traveler is the second of a series of vignettes highlighting important concepts which are at the heart of the story to be revealed in the historical fiction graphic novel "Badin and the Secret of the Saami." Traveler takes place in the 10th century and describes a fascinating journey of an Arab explorer known in history as Ahmed ibn Fadlan. Although this is fiction, it contains many historical references. The minisagas are text-intensive and geared toward generating intellectual interest. A glossary is included to help the reader understand the difference between the historical and fictional components. The forthcoming "Badin and the Secret of the Saami" is an historical fiction graphic novel starring Adolf Gustaf Badin and the leader of a unique band of Saami people. Badin and his companions find themselves on a fantastic journey in Sweden to preserve the survival of humanity. Saami people are the original inhabitants of Scandinavia and parts of Russia.
