Shakespeare's language and imagery is rich and can really give a performer the chance to shine. Unfortunately, women's roles often come off second best and finding suitable monologues for women for auditions or performance from his plays can be difficult and time consuming. That's why I've put together this collection. As well as some more famous pieces (Juliet and Lady Macbeth), there are some wonderful speeches from lesser known characters that can really let an actress shine!
