Now You See Me; Now You. . .

Dr. Oliver Oderahl is one of the emerging breed of entrepreneurs who might be described as “bisocial.” He builds wealth, one half from hard work and ingenuity, and the other half from crime. While he is skilled at morphing between good and evil and is known to many as “the genie,” he is rivaled by another cunning member of the breed, a Sheik known as the “chameleon.’ His wife, Gloria, is torn between her husband’s wealth and security and her passion for Russell Brown, a handsome, mysterious, fun-loving American, all of which is complicated by her sudden need for normality. Dr. Oderahl’s protégé, unemployed university graduate, Tom Duluth, desperate to make fast money, agrees to organize one of his plans— the robbery of a major bank, without violence. Nothing goes as expected and the reader is led along a multi-track road of suspicion, jealousy, greed, rage and murder.
