On Plantation 21, in Talmadge, Maine, Bessie Estelle Metcalf was born in the early summer of 1921. It was there, with her family, that she learned about life and faith. Now, at 100 years old, Estelle has spent the last year writing about all the important memories in her life. From scary dentist visits as a young child in the 1930s to becoming a great-grandmother at 96, these stories share her experiences throughout the last century. Estelle takes you through time as she reflects on the hardships of growing up during the Great Depression, first love, marriage, raising children and spoiling her grandchildren. Her joys, fears, hopes and prayers are perfectly preserved for generations to come.
