The second book centers around a widowed witch and her 13 year old daughter. They own a small Magic Shop in Hollywood, California. Claudia Lynne and her daughter, Skye are clairvoyant. A street magician, Zelatar, performs a magic act on TV and summoned something from the from the "other" side. All the audience could see was smoke from the cauldron; but Skye swore she saw a demon. The adventure begins in Hollywood, but soon expands to include the other Realms. Claudia and Skye and their friends have many adventures ahead of them.
