This book began unexpectedly. I wanted to chronicle the experiences as they unfolded to never forget. Seven years ago, I left Argentina and journeyed through Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, and Mexico, utilizing every mode of transport available. Exploring this new world felt like diving into a sea of new information, people, and customs. Meeting people, gathering experiences, you gradually realize you have no idea what awaits beyond, and that's part of the magic. My heart yearned to escape routine repeatedly, for brief periods. Something always tethered me to my comfort zone, postponing departure—work, study, family, friends, pets, debts. Later, I learned to solve problems while traveling. Tired of planning endlessly, I set out on an adventure seeking the unknown, knowing there were others like me—collectors of experiences, life enthusiasts, awake dreamers. Destinations became less fixed, less planned. After numerous moves, I learned to trust myself, believing the journey would introduce the right people, places, experiences for growth. The destination no longer matters; borders and personal limitations vanish. I was fortunate to discover many "hidden" treasures in Latin America. Indigenous communities taught me the importance of living in harmony with nature, sustainable living, aiding my spiritual and mental healing. Now, I feel compelled to share my chronicles, tales of life-altering experiences that reshaped my worldview, my understanding of people and myself. They aim to encourage you to fulfill your backpacking dreams. While each journey is unique, the lessons learned resonate with all travelers in some way.
