The Origin of Bris Milah
Where did this ritual originate? Godfrey Higgins, religious scholar and Egyptologist wrote, "Priests only of the Egyptians were circumcised." Candidates for priesthood, and for circumcision, were usually chosen from among puberty-age, virgin boys.
Another scholar wrote: “"In ancient Egypt learning was regarded as a high privilege and education was under the direction of a small number of individuals who were organized into bonds, pledges and vows of secrecy, (a candidate) having applied at Heliopolis, was referred to the Zodok of the Mystery School at Memphis, and these Master Teachers sent him to Thebes (where) he was circumcised." Circumcision goes back before Abraham; the Ancient of Days; (Melchizedek) taught the ritual of circumcision in Mu-Salaam before it entered Ancient Khemet (Egypt).
