Opportunities and Challenges in China’s Emerging Market under Globalisation

ByFarrukh Khan

China has seen a remarkable growth in its economy and the living standards of its citizens since it adopted a more open and liberal stance under the premiership of Chairman Deng Xiao Ping. With a huge consumer base of 1.2 billion consumers and rapidly increasing manufactured exports to nearly all countries of the world, business people from the rest of the world felt obliged to try and seek out new opportunities in the Chinese market in order to maintain a balance in global trade, increase profits for their firms, gain from the needs of the Chinese market and to explore its potential. This dissertation presents a discussion about the challenges and opportunities that are available in China’s emerging market in an era of globalisation and free trade.
