Information technology and computer science has shown the highest growth in demand for qualified and experienced workers over the years but employers still lament that the graduates being produced are not what they require. Computer science is also one of the fastest changing fields of study in which students can qualify and they have to be prepared for many changes over their working lives after graduation. The quality of the graduates is related to their level of knowledge and their abilities to solve the complex problems related to computing which they will have to come to grips with over their working careers. The abilities of the students to produce innovative solutions will not only determine their competence but will also have a bearing on a nation’s industry and its ability to innovate and produce computing solutions which are in demand.
