You’ve certainly heard that walking 10,000 steps per day is great for your physical and mental health, and raising your daily step count may help you lose weight, strengthen your lower body and core, and enhance your cardiovascular health.
After recently speaking with a colleague who walked 10,000 steps for 90 days and highlighted things like improving walking form, keeping motivated, and ways for raising step count, I was curious if walking 15,000 steps per day for one month would make a difference in my health. And how much movement would it take to meet this daily goal?
To my dog’s delight, I put on one of the best fitness trackers (I wear an Apple Watch) and headed outside with her for some extra walks. Here’s why it’s important, as well as how many steps you should do per day to see results.
