Reasons for Bede's Miracles in "Historia Ecclesiastica Gentis Anglorum"

This study intends to show that Bede aims at creating a united moral Catholic English nation through his miracle descriptions in Historia Ecclesiastica Gentis Anglorum. These miracles were results of strong faith in God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit: abundance followed hunger, serenity replaced tempests and storms, blind people started to see everything, and the ill people recovered from several diseases for their strong belief and good work.
