The Fostoria Glass Company (1887-1983) was one of the leading manufacturers of American elegant glass. Its products are avidly collected and used today. “The Little Book About Glassware” is a promotional item published in 1925 that was sent to consumers on request. It contains one color and five black and white illustrations along with 16 line drawings illustrating beautiful Fostoria glassware as well as suggestions for correct table place settings. This useful booklet was intended to provide customers with guidance on the proper use of glassware for breakfasts, lunches, teas, and dinners. At the same time, it served as a sales tool to encourage customers to consider Fostoria glassware for all of their entertaining needs. The charming content of this booklet remains useful to this day as a reference for elegant table service and an interesting introduction to Fostoria glassware.
