St. Augustine described theology as "reasoning or discourse about divinity." The natural theologian looks at created things and reasons back from creation to God, who is the cause of creation. The study of God through natural reason is called Natural Theology. Drawing on the principles of the scholastic, this book explores the nature of God as known to us through our natural reason.
