Alphatalk Street

A little girl named Emma takes a walk down Alphatalk Street. As she walks along, she meets all of the letters of the alphabet. Each letter has a picture embedded into it and a story that goes with that picture. Each page of the story is devoted to one letter. The story on each page mentions the name of the letter and then leads up to the letter saying its sound. The background on each page is kept simple, so that the child will pay attention to the shape of the letter. This book is a fun and easy way to teach the ABC's and the basic sounds to 4 to 7 year old children, who are ready to take that beginning step to reading - learning the alphabet. This same story is also in the 'Wise Owl's Reading Readiness' workbook, which teaches letter identification and printing.
