Groveling Music: The Soundtrack to My Remarried Life
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
Once a great and intrepid chronicler of his world travels, drummer Francis DiPietro is reduced to cramming his new book into the week his lovely young wife (half his age) goes on vacation to pamper herself at his expense.
Uprooted from his Canadian home to follow his wife's wishes, our drummer yearns to recapture the creative voice and vision which once was his second nature.
As he attempts to make the round-trip journey from the California shore to a national park in Texas in his meager seven days, DiPietro strives to reconcile his promising past with his uncertain future.
Aging, rueful of his diminishing prowess, he strikes up a bold friendship with a bizarre drifter whose lifestyle holds the key to a freedom he has lost.
Newcomers as well as fans of the progressive rock band Rush will appreciate this fond and humorous parody of the times and travels of their famous drummer and lyricist Neil Peart.
