Protecting America: Cold War Defensive Sites

A Cold War Advisory Committee (CWAC) of experts outside of the Department of the Interior’s National Park Service (NPS) was created in 2010 to assist with the preparation of this theme study, providing valuable review and advice. Francis Gary Powers, Jr., was the Chair of the CWAC and the CWAC members are identified in the book. No printed version was or will be made available by NPS, thus the publication of this document by the CWAC Chair.
