In this book, a former coordinator of Wahroonga Waterways Landcare tells the story of three and a half years' worth of work in the bushland surrounding Coups Creek. The book is divided into four major sections, each with their own focus. In 'Land' we hear about the human and natural history of the site. In 'Fauna' we meet a range of critters, from Squirter Earthworms to Brush Turkeys and many other wild wonders. The 'Flora' section stratifies the storeys of vegetation, starting in the canopy and ending in the groundcover layer. Finally, 'Community' details the triumphs and frustrations that come with protecting a small patch of nature surrounded by busy urban life. This book is the most comprehensive collection of information about the ecology of the bushland of Coups Creek.
