THE LIFE OF CHOPIN

For those of us used to polished, texture rich, almost visual, biographies this short biography will seem strange. It is the work of perhaps the great pianist of all time, and a man who was himself by no means a second rate composer, commenting on the life and work of a composer, performer, and great friend he himself greatly admired. Fredrick Chopin had a short life. His writings were not extensive. He left us, however, with some of the most beautiful piano music ever written.
