The year 2011 marks the 150th anniversary of the beginning of the Civil War. This novel celebrates the true story of Asaph Hollis, an original member of the celebrated 12th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, better known as 'Webster's Regiment," or the "Hallulejah Regiment." Asaph, like many young men of his time, had a dream of 'a more perfect union,' and of 'a land of opportunity.' Inspired by such ideals he joined the Union Army and came face-to-face with realities that tested his ideals.
