All Vows Broken

DESCRIPTION: Travis' wife has divorced him, his new girlfriend has abandoned him for her modeling career. He withdraws from all relationships until he meets his best friends' sister, a nun, the ultimate forbidden fruit. Can Travis' love be enough to save her? EXCERPT: “This is strange.” Sam mused sleepily the next morning. “What is?” I asked. “It is Sunday. I would normally be getting ready for Mass. Instead I’m lying naked in bed with a man who isn’t my husband.” “You still have time if you hurry.” I said as I looked at the clock. “I’m not going. I want to spend the day in bed with you again.” Sam said. “If I’m going to be a lapsed Catholic I might as well go all in.” “You don’t have to do that.” I replied. “I’m good with you going to church. I’ll even go with you if you want.” “I’m not good with going right now. If I go, I have to go to confession and if I go to confession I should be confessing to having broken my vows and letting you have me. But, I don’t feel like I’ve done anything wrong and I don’t need to tell the priest, or anyone else about it, just to make the church or God or anyone else happy with me. What we have been doing this weekend actually makes me feel like a whole person like God intended I should be instead of a chaste religious relic. So, I’m not going.” “You could become Protestant.” I mused. “Or nothing at all.” Sam replied. “I don’t know what I want to do as far as church goes. All I know right now is that I am hungry and we need to have breakfast.” She got up off the bed and started to look around for the shirt she’d worn the night before, finally finding it tossed casually into a corner. As she started to put it on she got an amused look on her face and then looked directly at me as I still lay on the bed. “Do you realize I’ve been naked for nearly two days?” she smirked in amazement. “The only time I’ve been remotely dressed was yesterday morning when we made breakfast and last night when...well, you know. I didn’t even put this on for lunch yesterday. Other than that, I’ve been completely naked all the time.” “And on the bed with your legs spread.” I teased. “I think you just want to knock me up.” Sam smirked. “That’s what’s really going on. Come on, let’s get breakfast so we can do it some more.”
