The Small Pond: A Play on Racism and Antiracist Teaching

The setting for this play is a college classroom where a group of full-time, part-time, and dual credit English faculty members hear about forms of racism students experience. The department members need to decide how to respond. This play employs Shakespearean organizational patterns and offers collaborative possibilities to facilitate an alternative exploration of how linguistic and other forms of white supremacy play out in educational contexts.
