SPACE ODDITY SCRIPTS: Book Five - THE RETURN

Robert MacManus has returned from his Stellar 20 First Contact mission to a post-war galaxy which, because of the time dilation effect, has advanced thirty years for his three and a half, but this modern day ‘Rip Van Winkle’ has a few tricks up his sleeve. First there’s getting his commission renewed, not in the old Space Command, but the modern new Star Command, someone almost no one wants. Then there’s getting his team back, but some never left, some came back too soon, some moved on, and others are still missing. Finally there’s getting a new ship, not any new ship, he wants best and fastest one possible, which needs parts lost during a raid that also cost him his best friend. But the discovery his ex-wife is now the CEO of his family’s company means he faces a roadblock to his plans he may not be able to overcome.
