What exactly is Poker Range? How exactly, do we measure it in poker? How many combinations of a certain hand can an opponent have in this situation? How do I make adjustments to my future actions, given how this opponent values their hands? How much equity does our hand really have in this spot? If we have an equity advantage in this spot, what are the odds of us running bad after a certain number of trials? How much return are we getting on an investment of chips, given the risk we are taking? These are just some of the questions that we take a look at in the book “Poker Hand Ranges Explained.”
What I do in this book is explain what a hand range is and how calculate it. We also look at situations where we need to make adjustments to what we are doing. Later, we walk through what combinations are and how to add them up. Then, we take a brief look at what player tendencies are as well as giving examples on how to make adjustments against them.
