Industrial corporations are the fundamental building blocks of a modern civilization. In fact, in many corporate boardrooms, civilizations are now judged by the global stature of business corporations they have successfully nurtured. Researchers from Princeton University and Northwestern University examined nearly 1700 policy issues and published a paper titled Testing Theories of American Politics: Elites, Interest Groups, and Average Citizens. The paper seems to suggest that mainstream voters in the American democracy have very little influence over public policy.
Everyday politics got greatly simplified when mainstream American voters were sidelined and eliminated from the larger democratic processes. However, Globalization is hitting roadblocks in many countries while poorly educated mainstream societies wish to remain stranded in the pre-industrial religious phase of societal evolution. Moreover, industrial revolutions of the future will surely widen economic divides to politically unsustainable levels.
In industrially advanced societies, policies devised by economists tend to keep the top one third fairly affluent, while the bottom two thirds is left to face a cost of living crisis. Nevertheless, with nearly half a dozen nervous political leaders from Continental Europe offering to step down from public life, difficulties in managing globalized economies ought to now become a matter of concern at international summits. In fact, existing economic structures would need to be torn down piece by piece. Thereafter, new structures constructed with a robust systems engineering approach need to be put in place. In this context, a set of handbooks are being made available to assist industry executives and public policy makers find common ground and enter into a meaningful dialog.
The principal issue at hand is about allowing societies to rise to their full potential through more sophisticated methods of resource allocation, economic planning, and income distribution. Therefore, a new genre of literature promoted by the Global Corporate Economic Forum (GCEF) will provide the intellectual foundation to help alter political and economic thinking. In this new scheme of things, industrial corporations that help add momentum to the economy are to enjoy an elevated political status. This handbook will help alter perceptions and recondition the analytical minds of decision makers in governments and private industry.
