Unless neoliberal policies are implemented with advanced scientific reasoning and a greater commitment towards bringing about societal good, the middle class strata in most democracies will be wiped out. Interestingly, the very Neo-English fraternities that had masterminded the industrial revolution are now spearheading the neoliberal economic movement in the global arena. However, as the towering wave of neoliberal regulations would typically snatch away decision making powers from democratically elected politicians, they might need to be implemented with greater caution. In fact, with neoliberal ideals advocated in the European Union, voters in Europe surrendered a significant chunk of political rights to a team of decision makers in Brussels. Moreover, the elitist decision makers in Brussels were not directly accountable to either mainstream voters or politicians within the EU member states. This explains why most working class voters in Britain signed up for Brexit. In America too, mainstream voters who did not wish to give up their political and economic rights to a cabal of financial elites in Wall Street. In the long run, neoliberal policies offer relief for economic constipation. However, the extra profits generated through neoliberal policies end up being captured almost entirely by the financial elites. In fact, a high level of scientific sophistry would be required to help make the idea of neoliberalism politically attractive to working class voters.
