Original Screenplay
A comedy-drama. America faces a presidential election. The sole republican and democrat candidates are low in the polls and do not receive serious consideration from the American people. A down and out African American homeless man unknowingly submits his name to the independent ballot and is decisively elected as the U.S. President.
"Presidential Matters" provokes thought of social importance. The principal character is a down and out homeless African American. He is propelled from the lowest class of American society, to the highest position of the nation. The transformation of the character illustrates success is based upon ones desire and willingness to do the right thing and not give up when placed in a failing situation. The story demonstrates that ability and opportunity does not matter as to ones past, or the color of one's skin.
