History of the Syrian Nation and the Old Evangelical-Apostolic Church of the East
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
The History of the Syrian Nation and the Old Evangelical-Apostolic Church of the East was written by Shamasha George David Malech in Assyrian and was translated and published by his son, the Rev. Nestorius George Malech in Minneapolis in 1910. It is one of the first comprehensive histories of the Assyrian Church and Nation to be published in English and the first to have been written by an Assyrian. Although it makes use of the old term "Syrian", the book covers the ancient history of the people and makes and explicit claim that the Arameans, Chaldeans, Assyrians, and Syrians are all one nation. The later part of the book discusses the negative effects of the foreign missions among the Assyrians and details the efforts of a small group of loyal Assyrians to defend the unity and integrity of their own Assyrian Church and Nation.
