The Sleeper: Earth's Salvation

An advanced alien race that had visited Earth earlier in the planet’s history arrive for their second visit in 1942. They see the environmental destruction that is taking place at the hands of humankind. To ensure the survival of this beautiful planet the aliens implant a seed within a human newborn. This seed will give rise to a robot of incredible power when the atmospheric carbon dioxide level reaches 400 parts per million. Early in the 21st Century the carbon dioxide concentration achieves the target level and the robot emerges. This entity is programmed to reset Earth’s environmental “clock” by any and all means at its disposal. All hell breaks loose with seminal changes in humankind, in plants and animals, and in the environment.
