I shall abbreviate Einstein's foundations of science to «PhR», for Physics and Reality.
The PhR stayed practically unknown for two reasons :
1) It is extremely complex and contests all previous habits and ideas,
2) By Einstein's own admission it was badly written to the point of becoming incomprehensible.
I got in touch with the PhR working as a researcher in the Infeld's Relativity branch of the Warsaw Institute of Theoretical Physics.
Besides other, purely physical assignments, I've been charged with clarifying and completing the PhR. This task extended over my work at the Institute and proved to be so complex that only now, after 50 years I dare to publish what appears to me as a reasonably coherent version.
The first difficulty lies in lack of foundation structure, of explicit statement of axioms, theorems and their relations. Bearing testimony to Einstein's admission of bad writing, they are arbitrarily dispersed in the text, hiding their fundamental functions under a trivial camouflage.
