In a small Sauerland town, the banker Werner Zillmer is kidnapped and murdered. Shortly afterwards, the retired stolen car handler Harry Woltau receives the same fate in Spain. Woltaus partner, the famous actress Sydow, commissions Grussek, a successful private investigator, to find Woltau. She suspects a connection between her boyfriends disappearance and the business he was involved in the 70’s. However, she omits to inform Grussek about these dealings. Sydow does not know that she is next on the list.
The word “Abaton” derives from the Greek and meaning inaccessible, referring originally to the section of a temple restricted to authorised individuals.
All characters will knowingly enter (or have already trespassed) into the forbidden section of the temple. During the course of the story each character will be confronted with the painful consequences of his or her actions.
