Souls in Transit deals with cultural adaptation to a secular [but not necessarily religiously barren] western democratic environment. It looks at the middle eastern conflict through the bridge of family therapy theory, a relatively new discipline derived from psychology, that deals with dynamics of relationships from the point of view of systems and groups rather than individuals. [In this case, international relationships.] It tries to find a common ground for interfaith respect and goodwill between the three great monotheisms.
